Am I right in thinking that the frequent high packet losses I get are down to karoo not having enough bandwidth and using shaping and other control measures to distribute the amount out ,its getting more and more noticeable at peak times certainly Saturday afternoon & Sundays
if so then its really about time more bandwidth were added and not robbed from others in the area

It depends where the packets are being lost. I am not seeing any packet loss here at the moment. My Sam Knows monitoring thingy has not had reported a single lost packet since I installed the unit in May.

would it depend on where you are and what exchange you share and how many connect etc ?

Quite a bit of packet loss here in HU6 Orchard Park area.
