Line rental options
There are two ways to pay your BT landline rental. During your order, you can choose either:

£13.29 every month (with Direct Debit)
£9.49 a month equivalent, when you pay 12 months in one advance card payment of £113.88 (Line Rental Saver)
Save £45.60 per year. Cheaper than Sky, Virgin & TalkTalk
Get the convenience of paying by Direct Debit
Save paper with paper-free billing
NB. You need to make at least two calls a month to avoid a £1.50 monthly charge. Payment is non-refundable.

£11.49 per month line rental and free local calls seems a good deal from KC.

I tend to agree most of us have used or do use karoo and moaned about 2 things
1. the price
2. the restrictions imposed on throughput and capping
Now one  of the issues have been looked at and there is a saving to be had ,the other will not go away untill more bandwidth is made available and thats an issue that most wireless providers seem to have.
certainly a step in the right direction for once

Something I regularly see posted on here is the dissatisfaction that you have to pay for a land line service that you do not require. KC have to maintain that land line in order to provide you with a broadband service. Is there a fixed line broadband provider that does not require you to have a land line?

Because I'd like a LOW call package, basic line rental or sth, with a decent internet package. I guess at the moment I am paying £11.49 + £19.49 (Karoo Max 8Mbps) but have unlimited off peak internet for £30.98. I shall stick with that I guess because none of the bundles better it.

The minimum bundle gives me mobile, and national minutes, so I would be paying for something I do not need when I have a mobile phone.

£11.49 per month line rental and free local calls seems a good deal from KC.

BT's Top tier internet unbundled without line rental is £25 for unlimited usage. KC's is £35 for 150gb + unlimited overnight. I doubt many are on Pro 2, but this example shows where the main problem is with KC's pricing, £11.50 for line rental is merely a necessary evil, the sting is in the broadband charges.
