Thank-you for your support, however I actually worked it out by myself! OH the joy of it!
All I do is
1. Disable all current connections (Wireless, LAN) 2. Right click > Properties of the connection your using with airnet 3. Change from Auto to > Assign static IP of 192.168.1.2 4. Enable connection 5. Browse to 192.168.1.1 6. Log in with admin/admin and make changes 7. Reverse process to get internet back!

I wonder if anyone on the Karoo forums has had any experience with FileZilla before because I am currently trying to host an FTP server and having no such luck, Airnet have already opened the necessary ports but once I connect it says data connection lost then proceeds to boot me off in a matter of speaking.

Any idea what ports are forwarded?
On client side go into settings and set the ftp transfer mode to active.
If that works correctly its probably because firewall rules aren't correct for using passive mode, which need more than just port 21 forwarded.

Didn't know you could host with FileZilla  - I have been using that as a client for a while. I thought you ran Windows 7? Just install IIS, or at least, the FTP server for IIS, it would be in Add/Revove Programs - Windows Features in XP (I think... you know full well I'm more of an MS-DOS guy), I have no idea about Windows 7 though, but it should be there along with various other services. Edit: Wherever that is in Windows 7, seeing how Micro$oft seem to have made you have to click at least three more buttons before letting you find what you want in that awful OS. To be honst, even XP is harder that it needs to be, WIndows 3.10 and Windows 95 are easier. Like miken said, you need Port 21 forwarded, you need to go to your firewall's advanced settings and add TCP Port 21 to the services (with your computers IP) allowing all systems allowed to connect.

Miken I was also thinking that to, when I try and contact my server through ESPV it seems to work but with PASV it refuses my connection. I think I need to contact Airnet yet again to open the custom port ranges I have set up.
Try my FTP and see if you can figure what the problem is: f tp://mickybyte.dyndns-home.com
Had to add a space between F and TP because it seems to add Http:// at the start of my URL for some reason.

Need a username/password or enable the anonymous account.
If you want to use PASV you need 21 forwarded and also a range you configure the server to use for transfers.

User name is Guest with no password set.
Miken do you mean the custom port ranges I set up which are 5000 - 50100. If so then I need to give Airnet another call to forward these ports through the equipment I connect over.
Update:
I have disabled SSL so try again, I just saw two attempts lol on my console.

Response: 220 ((Welcome to MickyBytes FTP sever)) Command: USER Guest Response: 331 Password required for guest Command: PASS Response: 230 Logged on Command: SYST Response: 215 UNIX emulated by FileZilla Command: FEAT Response: 211-Features:
Losses connection after that
Try getting airnet to open port 20 (ftp-data) and a range such as 5000-5100 (don't need thousands open)
Set the port range in "Passive mode settings" (I think you already knew that)

I've just emailed to following to Airnet support.Anyone had any similar issues? I am having a problem with my connection that I hope you can help me to diagnose.
One some devices in my network, particularly on my iPad, some websites will not work, or work rarely or very slowly. When I ping these websites from the affected devices I can see that ping times are slow (compared to other websites) and that packets are being lost. The iPad works fine on any other connection, but not Airnet.
There are very few websites that this happens on but it's stuff like Facebook and Ancestry, which I use often.
I do not have this problem with my Karoo connection, suggesting that the issue is with some setting on the router, or the aerial.

Hi James - I've noticed the wifi play up sometimes since the firmware update on the iPad. The signal has been weaker - I found this more with the iPad receiving the signal that the Airnet service.

My connection is fine. I can ping most sites with no problems, but the occasional one will drop a lot of packets. No problems at all when connected to the other router (the one with Karoo on the other end). Like I say, I've probably only found two or three that it won't work on. Just so happens that those two or three are the ones I want to be on I had similar problems with an ISP years ago. It was solved by adjusting the MTU setting on the router. Will see what Airnet says, but I thought I saw someone post on here before with a similar problem.

Does your iPad connect to Facebook okay while connected to Airnet?

Where in the GetNet router does it show the connected speed? I can't see it anywhere.
Thanks.
