You probably noticed the forum downtime recently! The VPS we are on had a disk error and I've had to attempt to repair it to get the server back up. Unfortunately I didn't notice this until about 20:30 this evening.

Anyway we're back now! Sorry!

I should point out that in my shoddiness I did get alerted as to the fact the server was down earlier on today, but being busy at work I forgot until later Roll Eyes

I think the sudden outage the other day may have introduced some corruption to the virtual disk. I mounted a live CD and fsckd the disk while unmounted and couldn't find anything wrong with it (despite the server thinking something was astray hence not booting earlier). I can only hope that the disk is fixed now.

Ah I'd assumed it was something to do with the ddos last night on the 109.whatever range Rus has.

Glad you've got it sorted.

It's not good enough, Dylan. If you think I'm paying this months subscription, you've got another thing coming.  Tongue

I've had to watch tv tonight!  Grin

Thanks for sorting it.  Smiley

I was starting to wonder wether the forums had died, I noticed it was down this morning, went to sleep and woke up ten hours later and still nothing.  The only time I saw that happen was when the admin didn't pay the bills for domain rental at DNR.

Good job on the fix, if only things were so simple at my end, but I shall not ruin the thread with my own issues. Good to see the forum back up.

Yeah nice job on the fix...thought Dylan dragged his feet a bit and may have to reconsider your position within the community... Grin
To be honest I just blamed my faulty equipment for the outage... Wink then realised that was just a bit of Kakroo rubbing off on me... Grin
