Which wifi supplier is better company, I think air net is a resseller to quickline

You want to sign up to 2 internet providers?
Understand you will be in contract, and will have to pay monthly for both, as well as quite a hefty sum of money for 2 installations!

They operate on different radio waves, so you could have both if you wanted to, providing that both can provide to you.
This will depend on your location and obstacles around you, as well as your distance from your nearest transmitter. In most cases things can be worked with to get you connected.

As for which is better, you should pick the service which suites you more, find out how they perform by reading the various threads on this website.

I am a member of AirNet, so can only comment for them;
AirNet, as you correctly stated are a reseller of Quickline, and offer up to 10MB/s upload and download, however the majority of users actually receive around 6-9MB/s in both directions. Latency is good for gaming, at around 30-40ms. Unlimited bandwidth allowance.
This forum does have members signed up to NextGenUS and will probably comment on this thread regarding their service.

Hope this helps in some way!

As Scotty has mentioned NextGenUs are also a provider worth considering depending heavily on your location from their transmitter which is believed to be in the Great Thornton Street/Hull Royal area of the city.

I would suggest at present that Quickline are something of an unknown quantity on Karoo Forums as we've only recently (today) seen a friend of a member signed up to them. Airnet however have multiple members as their customers, the Airnet area of the forum is well worth a look for further research.

It could be worth contacting both Airnet and Quickline regarding your situation.

I spoke to airnet about having two accounts on a month to month contract, yep extra charge and two installations but should be better then adsl at 2x2mbs, not bothered about 18/24 month contract only if the service doesnt degrade, basically when they say they will ring back they dont seem to bother
Rang there sales to speak to Rob and his telephone number was cancelled and for purchase, which was alarming, then there full site went offline, i guess this was an outage

Im on the outskirts in Analby, they say I should get a strong signal

The fact of being able to send at a nice speed is very apealing to me as I do lots of server work

installation times can vary and from comments on here and from speaking to Ricky at Airnet demand is very high, but ring and see.  Didn't have a positive experience when dealing with Rob as he gave me duff information on installation dates and when service was actually available in my area, only got things sorted when I spoke to Ricky.  Hopefully this should be resolved and Rob should be more on the ball!

I've been up and running with Airnet since July 2010 and find the service to be excellent.  Made enquiries with NextGenus in July and only got an e-mail response last week - can't really comment on their service.

I can't believe no one has quoted Harry Hill on the title of this thread. Which is better?? Only one way to find out......FIGHT!!!.....  Wink

Keith, I don't think you'll be disappointed with the Airnet service. I've had it for just over a month and am delighted with it.

Once your contract is signed they usually install within a couple of days. They don't always turn up on time though due to running over on previous jobs but if they're running late they usually give you a call with an eta.

Good luck! Smiley
