I guess it depends on what kind of service MS3 can get to the domestic customers or what other ISP's that they are bringing in can provide.

This forum will, I think, focus towards the more successful provider(s). Since wireless connection in the past have been extremely poor and fibre has only ever been good that is where they are getting their advantage, without even been live. This shift in focus isn't something that can be changed without putting alot of personal effort to keep the other services in the sights.

That said if the wireless providers can still provide a competitive service (stability and value for money) against a wired connection then I don't see them fading away in the forums that easily.

I dare say most people in Hull and the surrounding areas will go for the cheapest option as many won't need the internet for more than browsing/watching the odd video. I can see wireless providers dropping in price also once the newer providers are in.

A few involved in this forum work/have worked/are involved in this sector but the good majority of the time can't say what is known. I'm not holding my breath about anything massively life-changing happening in the Hull marketplace beyond the wireless providers we've seen popping up in the city over the next few months though to be honest. You can refer back to this post in a few months if you like  Wink

I'm not the type of person to say I told ya so.....But i think on this one I might well be caught shoving two fingers thru windows at some people ha ha ha....Not saying you, but there's one or two doubters that are more a hinderance than a help.

Anyway, I'll update with what ever info I can as and when I'm allowed to due to the damn NDA that I wish so badly I hadn't signed when KC announced the "network upgrade, investing in more bandwidth" today!!! GRRRRRRRR

I've posted ads for numerous wireless suppliers, I have no quibble with doing that at all. If I take 200 people away from KC by merely shoving a quick ad on the page then its job done as far as I'm concerned. If anyone would like an ad on there that is an alternative ISP then feel free to message me with the details, and if you feel you could put an introductory offer on then by all means do so.

Lets hope this is still the case for all our sakes Smiley i got your pm btw i hope you got mine back

Sure did, although I don't spend much time on karooforums as Al Dalgairns asked to not be part of a negative campaign.

We are all for change here and this is what we want. But waiting and wondering doesnt give much hope,

We know you say its happening and that you cant mention is cause of the NDA and we respect that, just look at it from our point of view of someone who isnt (in the know) Promise late november then early decemember then before christmas and then start of january and then end of january which is today which is the promised day. Then nothing alot is legal crap which i understand does tie alot of things together but from someone who doesnt know much at all just looks like a ride.

Of course not, As soon as I'm given the go ahead to publicly announce the start of the dig It shall be public knowledge. which if all goes well should be in the next week or so. You've all seen the route on the map, there may well be some slight modifications to that route by now with customers being added all the time.
