Also what is with all this "Torch Communications Ltd"?
Torch Commincations used to be a business arm of Kingston Communications for the out of area stuff, I think that it evolved into Affiniti along with a few other bits and bobs that KCOM had aquired. No idea why its still being used their though, I don't think it exists as such anymore. KC probably never updated the network identifiers which is typical of course.

Impressed, very accurate speedtest. Tested it on a US based server and get 320 even a third of that on nntp

Typical load of sh*te What you connected at? I don't even KNOW what service I have, I tried logging into Karoo but it just tells me GB usage. I never upgraded to the "MAX" options because it's a load of shit, however it seems that's the only choice of broadband they are offering now. Possibly I'm still stuck in the old service or not, I don't know. Edit: I either shredded the last phone bill I got or I filed somewhere, I'll look now. However what I do know is that I'm paying around £24 for broadband.

dire as usual in Brough 14kb/s on torrents... It's looking dire. I've not seen a speed above 300kB/s for a long time.... Karoo are definitely throttling speed down, and not just for torrents or at peak times....
