Noticed recently lots of airnet users have been posting about problems gaming due to ping rates..

I was playing Quake 3 Arena online last night with my gaming profile on karoo and my ping never went higher then 20ms.. The average was 15-15ms ping which is fantastic.. I was actually the lowest on the server all night..

When my brother games using the Karoo connection, he is always the lowest ping in the server, its one thing they deliver excellently - ping rates.

Its one reason to keep me from even trying Airnet. Sad

I must admit karoo ping rates are very good, I only have an 8mb connection and yet the pings are very low.. For an attenuation of 46db to get 8mb and ping rates of 11ms and below is fantastic in my view.

Yeh its a pity the throttling and shaping on the actual throughput is so bad!  Grin

Same for me, need a low ping if I am going to switch no more than 25ms. A big thing is also the stability of the ping, if you notice its jumping around alot that also has an effect on the game

The whole connection is jumping around. Download, upload, ping - you name it.

I've never been throttled, During peak and off peak i've always got max speeds on my downloads

13.15pm

17.30pm

Lucky you, I get your speeds at 7.30am but after about 7pm its a snail pace, lucky to get 0.5kb/s on torrents if I try them (which I don't anymore).

I also never seem to lose speed in peak times on Karoo.
Its been great since the moment i've signed up with them - I rate them; great customer care, average speeds & fantastic ping's.

I've actually never had a bad word to say about Karoo.
