Ed Vaizey has given the go ahead for ISPs to manipulate traffic to their commercial advantage according to BBC news
This means that your ISP can throttle high bandwidth sites like Youtube and BBC iPlayer unless they pay for premium access to their consumers.
He reckons that the market will rectify any misuse through competition;
"The essential competition we enjoy in Europe and especially in the UK, will be an essential safeguard against unfair discrimination," he argues.
