This works the same way as 3G, with a dongle.
This is fantastic, speeds up to 100Mbps from a dongle!
Currently only in Norway and Sweden;

It's amazing how its even possible through that little dongle!
The latency is phenomenal!
20-29ms is just crazy for mobile broadband, 3G/HSDPA doesn't normally drop below 90ms!

Out of interest anyone know IF/When 4G is planned for the UK?

Hell, I'd love 3G up in North Yorkshire/Flamingo Land during weekends away. EDGE just doesn't cut it!

I used to work at Flamingo Land for my first ever job! Bad times lol.
Actually only lived 20 minutes from the place.

Did a bit of looking around for you Rich.

T-Mobile/Orange & Three all have variable amounts of 3G coverage - so might be worth you picking up a PAYG dongle next time your up there.

Apparently Orange has Low 3G coverage, and T-Mobile has Moderate. This is strange as those networks have combined, unless it doesn't combine when using mobile broadband, as it needs to be activated physically by making a text on a phone connected to one of the 2 networks.

Oh, you're too kind Cheesy

I've had an O2 mobile broadband contract for the best part of 2 years, I used to have a Three mobile and it couldn't get any signal at all when I was at Flamingo. Odd. Bizarre even!

Back when I dropped out of college I looked at working there, my step-dad has had a caravan there for as long as I can remember so it'd have worked out nicely. I had a change of heart and setup my own business and here we are almost 4 years later Tongue I still go up there as much as possible though, it's a great break away from the madness of work - plus they do have some great coasters, not as good as the old days with Bullet and Magnum though!

Oh man, Bullet and Magnum - AMAZING!

They still have some classics like the Corkscrew! That's technically the oldest ride on the park! I used to work on the games & arcades, and they're all scams.
For instance, the 'Throw the cricket ball in the bucket' game is fixed, all the buckets are pushed out at the back with a block of wood, and angled so they fall out almost 95% of the time.
The hammer game where you smash the hammer down and make the bell hit the top works on a computer timed system where the settings change to make it harder or easier depending on the amount of prizes its given out. Also has a 'Child & Adult' button on the controller unit which the operator has to press.
The arcades... Don't get me started lol, just don't bother wasting your money.

The Three website quotes low signal for the park, although lets face it, mobile signal checkers can never prove 100% accurate. Your best bet would probably be a PAYG T-mobile dongle.

Come next season I'll be giving that a go I think Smiley

I've always done very well on the Simpsons fruit machines in the arcades, and more often than not on the Deal or No Deal ones too - mostly based on watching people deposit their wallet into them without winning, then going along and playing properly!!

Haha, that's exactly how they operate, after a certain amount of money gets placed into the machine, the percentage of winning increases dramatically.

This is particularly true on the grabbers. Those little bastards become suddenly stronger after a few hundred pounds has been deposited into them.

I once gave myself a free go, and managed to pick up 2 teddy's with one grab! Obviously had to put them back, but I was very impressed with myself.
