Agreed, it is indeed a shame. however I wont be locking this topic but rather just leaving it, makes no sense and is rather a selfish act to not let other users off-line at the time voice their opinions on the matter.

I seem to remember talking about this before, I suspect that there would be stability issues with such a service as it is not vastly dissimilar to bonded ADSL2+ (Bonded ADSL2+ is upto about 40Mbit/s and is widely available throughout the UK) and that is not entirely stable, though it's a damn sight better than any of this wireless nonsense.

I wouldn't mind seeing such a service but for the time being I'm quite happy with my ADSL G.DMT as it is as fast, responsive and stable as I am ever going to need.

And, yes @MickyByte, I have seen engineers messing around with the KC exchanges, I'm not 100% on wether they connected any fibre yet but they are certainly preparing for it at the very least.

Fingers crossed those preparations are in the next year, not the next 10 years.

Yeah, fingers crossed I suppose, though in all honesty, I personally am past caring and I can't help but think people are just being greedy, an 8Mbit/s ADSL connection is as fast as you need at this time, I can stream HD videos fine whilst playing Blood online or running other bandwidth heavy tasks, if the service we already have is capable of this I really can't see what the problem is any more in all honesty. The only thing I would like is faster upload, but it's not an absolubte requirement.

Indeed, but when my street gets 1-2MB. 3-4MB at best on some very lucky lines... Not acceptable. And yes, that is ADSL2.

Oh, I agree with that, I just don't see why everyone is in such a big rush to see 50-250Mbit/s connections.

True, unless you have 4 kids using the new and adults using the net too... Not 100% neccessary.
