Nice router isnt it!  Cheesy

Yes your limited to 17mb profile..

Send a DM to karoo on twitter to ask to unrestrict you so you can 'self manage' your line..

Alternatively email the karoo technical help online.. Its easy to do and they will allow it..

I can see you getting another 1.5mb out of your line stable, so 18.5mb

Setting the slider anywhere right now will not make a difference until karoo have unlocked your line for self adjustment, once that happens the fun will begin  Cheesy

This is what i get on my linksys wag160n router as oppose to my dlink one
--- DSL Information ---
DSL Driver Version:  AnnexA version - A2pB022g.d20e
DSL VPI/VCI:         1/50
DSL Status:          ShowtimeRetrain Reason:   0
DSL Mode:            ADSL2+
DSL Channel:         FAST
DSL Upstream Rate:   1023 Kbps
DSL Downstream Rate: 6143 Kbps

                      Down         up
DSL Noise Margin:     2.7 dB       8.6 dB
DSL Attenuation:     49.5 dB      28.9 dB
DSL Transmit Power:  19.6 dBm     12.4 dBm
Is the noise margin better when its low?

You look to keep a SNR noise margin of about 6db at the lowest, Although this isnt always a given rule, If you have a very good line and live close to an exchange then sometimes running a much lower noise margin will not cause any issues..

In your case though you have a fairly long line, And as rule for people with lines like yours, The lower SNR will cause an unstable connection and you will be getting more error corrections on your line.. 2.7db is very dangerous and i would support that at 9pm ish you are very likely to see a disconnection with your line, It wiill obviously reconnect at a slightly lower speed..

Email Karoo technical help desk and request to be put to '6db profile', Your line speed will be decreased but stability of your line will be much better, at 2.7db you are running dangerously low.
