ok so, i just got the net turned on in this flat which on the website states i should get 15mbps/ 17max according to the woman on the phone, got 4mbps from various speed tests
rang up the technical line and got put on a 14mbps gaming profile... (see screenshot below)

yet, when i do a test to manchester or london the speeds come out as this (screenshots below)

any ideas?, im also running it wired to the router and on an extension cable.. but could that really be a reason for losing almost 10 - 12mbps? to other servers?
please feel free to post your ideas or comments below Smiley

Lack of bandwidth and restrictions made by Karoo, There is absolutely no fault with your connection or anyone else's, The speeds are a result of throttling throughout the hull network by Karoo.

Rest assured this isn't an issue for you, I can tell you 100% you will see normal speeds from midnight onwards,

haaa you sure do answer fast el-ahrairah, i guess the only thing to do is wait.. however i have had a few problems loading some webpages saying it cant connect lol .. even google.. i'll wait it out .. and gather some notes so i can ring them up tomorow and see what i can do.

i'll probably also switch the extension to a high quality one.. apparently when its a round cable its alot better so i'll do that this week Smiley

regards,

Dan

After people have gone to bed, The speed increases, The network is over congested and has been for some time, This is the reason for those dismal speed tests people are seeing between 5pm and 10-11pm..

As for replying quick, I like to help when and where i can, And obviously i have too much time on my hands.
