I've had mobile broadband for the past year and it was allright at the start but now I've moved house it's become utter garbage, so I've signed up with KC and waiting to be connected, just waiting for that light on my router to stop flashing then my line will be active Smiley

im amazed how people go with kc by choice and not as a last resort. How much did you have to pay kc to be connected

this is a last resort, i dont want to go mobile again! I'm on the 29.99 KC Bundle with 30GB bandwidth a month, I'm on Albert Av and they say the speeds arn't too great but as long as I can download stuff faster than 6.0KB/s then I'm a happy bunny.

I ordered the router which came yesterday, and they said 2 days before that it takes up-to 6 days to be connected so I'm just waiting now, no connection charges it's all free even if the engineer has to come out and do his thing it's all free which is dandy.

What about NGU or SBB?

Try them mate, get in contact. Then at least you don't pay for a phone line you may not use (unless you do use it).
You get more bandwidth allowance, and much faster speeds and latency.

ill check them out, I'll be using the phone line as we make quite a few calls to people across the UK, to be honest the speeds dont bother me like I say aslong as it doesn't take 20 minutes to load in Google.co.uk i'll be happy. It's not my PC that's slow it's my damn mobile broadband, even on my wifes brand new laptop it took an absolute age to load in just google, and dont try and read your emails in this lifetime!, so what ever bandwidth r speeds I get from karoo it'll be ore than 3GB a month and be faster than the speeds I get now, yesterday i downloaded open office on a customers PC and started that about 11:00AM look at the time now and the download still says 46 hours to go.

Looking at the speed map on the KC website you should be looking at around 10 meg, so not too bad a speed.
