Worst update ever, yesterday, I used Office 2010 for the first time, hated it because they changed the interface and I have no idea how to use it. Now SpeedTest bloat their site even more to the point that I only have one machine strong enough to run it properly and they make the interface unuseable with fancy graphics. It isn't a video game, it shouldn't even need graphics, it should use a simple counter in plain text, it's not difficult, I could probably mae something better in notepad whilst blindfolded and tied up... I wish my girlfriend was still around... but anyway, SpeedTest sucks like everything else now, seems to be the rules for ICT related things now, to make it a bloated and unuseable as possiblel. SpeedTest can suck my fat one.

Oh don't even look at Office 2010, or 2007 for that matter.

Its not as tho it requires a supercomputer tho is it? Any pc that less than 3 years old sould run it no probs unless you are just using onboard graphics.

It's the internet, it shouldn't need to come with "Minimum System Requirements" I've got goddamn CAD software that uses less resources than that site does now.

And I don't own a machine within that age limit, my newest machine is from 2005 - It'll still walk all over practically anything built today, it owns, IT OWNS! - that runs the site fine, but that's my video/graphics workstation and it's out of the way.

The second newest machine is from the early end of the 2000s and is one of my laptop computers, running a 1.9Ghz Athlon processor and Radeon IGP 320 should be sufficient, something as simple as a speed test should be able to operate on a 386 with MCA graphics, it's a SpeedTest, not a Graphics Benchmark.

The speed can be worked out with a simple counter and divisor, even a TI-83 calculator could do the sums with ease.

You're obviously not that bothered by speed anyway if your still using a laptop from the early 2000. Im assuming you're being sarcastic bout your pc being a beast as well.

That is irrelevant, so I am not going to waste my time correcting you when you are blatantly trying to be irksome, my logic is infallible and my point still stands.

The fact that you believe something that is old is not as fast as a newer machine proves that you know very little about these things.

5 years is a long time, in computer terms its even longer. Pc's having been doubling in speed ever couple of years since 2000 or so ergo yours is slow by todays standard. Im sure when you got it, it was powerful but its just fact that top end pc's now are more powerful that those from 5 years ago.
