I got an email earlier supposedly from paypal saying i had received a $400 payment, i thought nothing of it and just deleted and marked as a phishing email. now imagine my surprise when i logged in to find that it was indeed legit but had sadly been reversed Sad

Has this ever happened to you?

edit:
They $400 payment was a surprise to the guy that the payment came from too. still no word from paypal as to why this happened.

This happened to me 2 years ago, they took £800 via direct debit.  paypal accused me giving my password to someone.  ring your bank and the direct debit guarantee will re-deposit the funds to your account.  Then when paypal pay you back in about 6 weeks after their 'investigation', you just do your own investigation and pay them back just before the courts are involved.  i now dont have a paypal or ebay account.

money came out of the other guys account not mine. Doubt his or my account had been compromised in any way. first time this has ever happened to me in the years of having the account.
