I'm not sure where it is, I'd hazard a guess at The OnePoint given where I think that is, but I don't know the other side of Hull that well, so I could be wrong.

@Mickybyte; He's not the first, who in their right mind takes time out of their day to look around on Google Street View for Wireless devices?

Maybe he noticed it while he was in town, came home and posted it up on here once he found it.

I'd hazard a guess at Quickline.

It's not ours as we have no setups such as the one Dunny referred to as we don't think they are fit for purpose (no dig intended just explaining).

@El    so who do you think it is?

Its the old core network this was purchased by Quickline with all the wayleaves for some high sites in Hull.

I was the original comms and support centre as they had the schools contract.

Its now defunct and only supplies service to the local area.

You used to work with Core? That's a very old picture?

Hi all

Yes, this was part of the Azzurri Communications Hull Broadband fixed wireless IP network I deployed in 2006/2007 using the light tough 5.8 Ghz spectrum (band c) when I worked for Azzurri before Azzurri was sold to Core.

Goulton Street was the network "headend" and backhauled to HRI. HRI  in turn  was used to connect to Maizecor. the BBC Building and the Brynmoor Jones Libray Buidling at the University of Hull. All the buildings (apart from Goulton Street) had customer facing anntenaes but the majority of the connectivity to the network from the customer permises was done promarily via HRI.

Access to the WWW was provided by Cable and Wireless into Goulton Street from  C and W in Leeds using a fibre circuit providing 100Mb/s access to the WWW  across the user base based on the principle of using committed and maximum information rates per customer as oppoosed to limiting the the customers data download.

Core sold the network to Quickline (I was indirectly involved in the sale) in 2008 and the radio equipment shown looks as though one anntena points to HRI and the other across the Humber. The Radio shown in the picture is dual 5.8 radio and the theorectical IP (not wireless) limit across the link will be 25Mb/s.

I think Hobbisbang meant to say "It was the original..." rather than "I was..."
