Referring to this link are Karoo allowed to advertise like this? Surely thats a false statement?.

And notice how the core group of Karoo users *i.e. Hull residents* will have to wait for ages to get their lines "upgraded"

It's shocking! KC, a hull born company, investing in out-of-hull areas!

The weird thing is, they're upgrading Bilton in Hull, and Skirlaugh. Coniston (Where I am) is located exactly inbetween both those areas, along the same road which joins them, but we're not getting anything.

It's not just Hull, Brough is 5 minutes down the road from South Cave FFS. Oh that's right South Cave isn't a captive market like Brough is!

KCs blatant disregard for Hull and its home area is just staggering.

Fact is that a large % of karoo customers can get a fast connection, its also a fact that the customers that get these fast connections are shaped down to unusable limits because of lack of babdwidth and poor management of the shaping that they apply .

March according to a statement that they released was when more bandwidth would be bought and made available .It has not happened as far as hull central so it must be only for the outskirts that have a choice.
Hurry up alternatives with wide spead coverage  and give people not a choice but a chance to get what they actually pay for .

As I have previously posted, I live in Walkington.
During the day I get around 2.5 - 5.5Mb.
In the evenings this drops to anywhere between 0.3 and 3.2Mb.
Don't believe any of the advertising bumph. At the end of the day there is still that magic phrase ''UP TO 24MEG'',
A statement that will, I am sure, change when ligislation finally is enforced.
I was an unbeliever about the new providers and have spent some time on the net and am now reasonably sure who one of the providers is.
Even though I am in one of Krapoo's ''UPGRADED (ha ha !) AREAS. I will be changing all of my telecommunications ASAP.
If I am wrong I am no worse off, but, I will not subscribe to any of Karoo's new packages, bundles or 18 MONTH contracts until I am proven wrong in my information.

Not wanting to be too contentious  Grin but why are people up in arms that other KC customers' services are being upgraded?  Is there a diiference between a KC customer in central Hull & another KC customer in East Yorkshire? Would you be saying the same Scotty (in your East Yorkshire village) if Coniston had been included in the latest upgrades? (I'm sure Coniston will be included eventually)

Edit: unfair to single you out there Scotty; nothing personal

Nope, if Coniston was included - i'd be laughing Cheesy

Still doesn't change the fact that, I feel KC should be upgrading the areas with the majority of their loyal customers first, rather than other areas out of town.

I know why Katy Cobb is laughing at the end of the Video

- Thats because you are illegally locked into forced local call bundlling with KC which is anti competitive
- Hull users have no choice of fxed broadband provider and KC can do what they like
- KC are only interested in BT and Sky customers to try and grow their customer base
- KC are illegally providing you with calls using a 197 DQ service number to KC customers which is anti competitive

I could go on but not as much as Katy could !

No, it's perfectly good marketing...

- Thats because you are illegally locked into forced local call bundlling with KC which is anti competitive
Nope, ofcom allows it
- Hull users have no choice of fxed broadband provider and KC can do what they like
Well, yes. They're allowed to, however.
- KC are only interested in BT and Sky customers to try and grow their customer base
Makes good business sense to grow their user base.
- KC are illegally providing you with calls using a 197 DQ service number to KC customers which is anti competitive
IDK, is that illegal? I thought 197 was Kingston's own local directory enquirys?
