I fancy taking the plunge into uber geekdom by checking out guild wars. I have a connection that costs £17.99 a month (had it a few years) and wondered if it will have enough bandwidth. I tssted last night on Karoo and it said 550kbps - which seems really low to me. Will I be able to play it?

Hi there,

I don't think it says on the Guildwars website what connection you need. You could always give it a try, it should be OK?

Cheers Dylan,

Yeah - I get it tomorrow so I will give it a bash. I am upgrading to another package, so should have better bandwidth in a weeks time.

Should!

Nice one for setting up this forum by the way.

Hope it works for you.

It's all the members that make the forum mate Cheesy I just thought it'd be nice to have a place karoo users can chat. I'm glad you like it though!

Playing games is not about speed its about throughput and the distance between your host ISP and the host server.  IF the host server is in Australia or the States then your gonna get some lag thats just how it is!  If its in Europe then you should be fine Smiley
