Have any of you had previous experience with a car radio that requires a code input to work?
The battery ran out on my car just before christmas and that reset my radio, it now needs a code to be entered. I have checked all manuals that came with the car and also took the faceplate off the radio (Getting the main part of it out will be tricky). The car is a Peugeot 206 Quiksilver Y-Reg (2001-2002?), so if anyone has this car you know what I mean by tricky.
Anyway back to the point, do any of you know how to get this radio code for free? I haven't tried ringing the Peugeot dealership yet but I have read a few articles/posts that suggest they charge you for the code, which to me is wrong since you bought the car already. I should also note that I tried the private dealership I bought the car from already to no avail.
Strange normally theres an audio booklet with the car thats got the code in. Im assuming its the standard headunit and not an aftermarket one?
