There was "The OnePoint" but that's pretty much identical to AirNet as far as I know so it probably isn't worth it.

Actually, what is it with these word-merges? AirNet, NextGen, OnePoint? Sounds cheap.

I suppose there is always mobile broadband, but that really sucks.

There's a satellite one that advertises on Capital radio. I can't remember what it's called. I hear gaming is crap via satellite connection though.

Depends how long you're willing to wait for a site to load I guess.

You all know I have used Sattelite before, it is very costly, but for anything that does not require low-latency it is absolubtely brilliant and surprisingly reliable.

Yeah, the costs of it are unreal, with often VERY low download limitations and upload speed.
I looked into it heavily due to where I used to live - 0.5Mbps.

EDIT**

The speed mentioned above was the ADSL speed I could receive, and doesn't represent available wireless connections.

The one we had at KCL was much faster than that, it felt like you were loading content from a local drive, probably depends on your provider, I can't remember who we used, but there are probably a few business sattelite providers that we don't know about.

There was a sattelite dish that it used to connect, I don't fully understand the technology, all I understand was how to operate and maintain it.

The advertisement on Capital FM says its ideal for people who live in the country who want a fast internet connection. Are they basing "fast" compared to dial up?

I'll try to take more notice of it when I hear it next.
