Karl, who ran the page was been threatened by various individuals and in turn it was making the page a mockery of it's cause.

Unfortunately as this went on it has caused more stress for him than it was worth.

This is what he told me, of course he can come on here and elaborate should he wish to.

I just think it is a damn shame as that page was a great demonstration of how the people of Hull feel about Karoo.

It's such a shame that it's come to this, Karl has done an incredible job and his devotion to helping others in Hull with no personal gain or agenda has been remarkable.

I wonder what's happened? Who exactly would be doing the threatening? Not Karoo obviously. It doesn't make sense. The only other people I can think of would be one of the wireless providers, but then they've got a lot of business from both us and PoHaK. That said, that hasn't stopped us getting pipe-dream emails about being sued etc.. I hope that's not the case.

Usually if its about being sued its because a little kid wrote it in my experience, and is nothing to worry about.

The Spelling and/or grammer of these kids usually give them away anyhow.

I'd just ban them instead of pulling the site, speaking if sites, id run it outside of facebook where id have full control over it.

That's what we exist for. We've been around for nearly four years now and have during that time come under some flak from couple of businesses. You've just got to chin up and carry on with it.

Surely the whole idea is to obtain the best service possible from a provider.
Yes in some cases it may be correct to complain as long as its reasonably justified.
But there has to be a balance.

Yes we would all like to have super fast, 100% reliable internet connections, but we live in the real world and it ain't gonna happen.
Not with the Pikeys knicking the cables. !

It's no good people coming out with a blanket statement all the time e.g. "karoo are crap" ( or any other company ).
There has to be some justification behind this.

If someone say that they are dissatisfied with Karoo because........... then possibly that particular issue can be looked at and maybe improved.
Time and time again I see incorrect statements on this and other forums that mislead people into believing them.

Classic example "its karoo that are blocking the big service providers from coming into Hull"....no they are not !....this is lie.

The big isp's ( Talk Talk, Sky, Virgin etc ) have looked at Hull and decided that there is not enough profit there for them.
It's no good slagging Karoo off about this, your anger should be targeted at the other ISP's.

Good riddance to POHAK in my opinion.

Not seen a lot of karoo problems on this forum for the last couple of months.

Most issues seem to be with alternative providers.

Proberbly because their customers have got so peeved they are now with alternative providers !

Not as far as I am concerned karoo have always been a problem in some shape or form

PoHAK is a great way for people to vent their frustrations of which there were many ,that was verified by the sheer number of posts on the FB page

It is perfectly moral if the company is known to be more bad than good, its why programmes like BBC Watchdog exist, and as long as its constructive criticism and not people trolling the company or just mindlessly ranting i don't see a problem with it!

Just because you have a happy experience with Karoo, doesn't mean everyone else has!
They've always been bent on having a traffic shaper from hell, now they cap on the newer packages too, more suckage from your local ISP!

If someone say that they are dissatisfied with Karoo because........... then possibly that particular issue can be looked at and maybe improved.

Busloads of users have suggested ways to improve the service, but Krapoo refuse to listen each time, the days when KC were envy of the country are long gone, KC have mutated into a money grubbing cash machine within the last decade.

Whilest partly true, it doesn't mention the fact that KC welcome competition but refuses to make it economical to do so! and before you say it isn't up to KC to do that, yes it is, they are a signnificant market power in the region, another example of Ofcom being useless.
