This is an extremely misleading map.

For example you can see that the neighbouring area of North Lincs has a superfast broadband availability of 41%.

North Lincs is an extremely rural area, this 41% is mainly just scunthorpe. ( although Brigg maybe online now ).
Any where else in North Lincs you are stuffed.

Also the 41% figure quoted is a blatant lie anyway its nowhere near that.
These figures seem to be treating the areas that have changed from ADSL1 to ADSL2+ as having "superfast broadband" .

Northern Ireland as well is completly incorrect "superfast broadband" availabilty 98% average synch speed 4 to 5 Mbps...I don't think so !

Most of the family we have in NI get 8mb connections comfortably, with decent enough line stats to be fairly decent ADSL2+ lines too.

http://maps.ofcom.org.uk/broadband/table.html

The figures tell a better story (or worse for Hull and East Yorks)

Percentage receiving less than 2Mbit/s
The percentage of homes with broadband currently not achieving 2Mbit/s speeds.

Hull 9.7%
East Riding 14.8%

Average modem sync speed (Mbit/s)
The average maximum speeds of existing broadband connections. Speeds achieved in the home will be slower.

Both 6.4Mbit/s (score of 4, 1 best to 5 worst)

Superfast availability
The percentage of addresses which are within the coverage area of superfast (over 24Mbit/s) broadband networks.

Hull 0%
East Yorks 0%

Overall score:

Hull 4 (1 being best, 5 being worst)
East Riding 4 (1 being best, 5 being worst)

Hmmmmm
