EAST YORKS: The Humber Bridge Board has given the green light for telecommunication cables to be installed on the crossing.

It follows recent approaches by two companies interested in running fibre-optic cables across the bridge linked to extended broadband network developments.

Board members have yet to decide on how much they will charge firms to carry the telecoms cables on the bridge.

Your data will be able to get out for free, but it'll have to pay a toll on the way back!

What does this mean for the people of Hull? Is there any information about companies wanting to provide services using the fibre?

The Humber Bridge Board has now been notified of MS3 (MediaSat3) failure to file up to date account information and is about
to be StruckOff the Company Registry.
So have Hull Kingston Rovers and Hull City Council.

Cheers

Hull Kingston Rovers and Hull City council have expressed an interest in fibre? weird.

What about Hull City council? now that KC isn't a council department anymore, what would they want with fibre? upgrade their offices perhaps?

When you form a limited company you can buy one "off the shelf" so to speak - its like a ready made limited company with its Articles/Memorandum of Association already in place and you just fill in the blanks - its a lot quicker and cheaper.  It also means that you "rename" the company - there is nothing dodgy about this, its normal practice - but very often you will see the old company name when the new company has set up like this.  Its just a quick and easy way to get trading as a limited company.  Hence when you look at Companies House for information you may see an old company name that is totally unrelated to the new company - again this is very common in new limited companies.

In many cases Directors will have more than one limited company - for many different reasons (such as accountancy reasons or maybe with a medium term view of selling this company).

However, I do know of some limited companies who constantly change their "registered address" - ie about twice every year - now that does concern me as the registered address is the legal address to serve legal documents at!

Do you know something we don't CaW? Late filing of accounts is nothing unusual - not good practice no, but not unusual. Not really sure what all the negativity is about. Judge them on what they deliver (or don't).
