As some of you are aware I live in Driffield area. I wasn't happy with the amount I was paying so rung Kc and spoke to a bloke called John who listened to what I wanted, and told me about a new package in the area.

Karoo bb 30gb usage
Free calls 24/7
Free 197
lots of of stuff I don't really need

£11.75 for the first 3 months, Then £27 including the line rental. Not a bad myself.
Cheapest in BT land is £20.00 per month.
But they have shocking call centres, unlike karoo which seems pretty good.
Another happy customer for the next 12 months.

Thats cool if you won't user over 30GB of data.
For a family who often use computers, you will go past that with ease! Then get charged for every other GB you use.

Customer care at Karoo is good though.

I've been on the 30gb package for the past 5 months.  i use skyplayer constantly, and my son uses xbox live every night.  i use youtube often too.  I have never been with 5gb of my limit in any of the months.

( There has been no buffering too, thanks KC)

Just fyi games themselves don't use that much of your download allowance, youtube HD videos and sky would do and any demos your son downloads.

It's very rare that I would use that much data, but I like having the capacity to do so.

Started messing about with some MMOPG's yesterday and one of them required a download of 9GB, the other 7GB. That wouldn't leave me much for the rest of the month!

Im not a fan of monthly caps either, I use a quite alot of bandwidth as most of my games are on steam or bought digitally. I also watch most of my TV stuff online and other streamed media so it adds up really fast

From what I understand now, its £40 a month for free local and national calls and 150GB usage.
Now that they have upgraded it should be line speed 90%+ of the time
