I've just heard next year Formula 1 will be shared by Sky and BBC. Sky will show half of the races and BBC the other.

It looks like I'll be watching some on the BBC and the rest streamed from the net because there's no way Sky will ever tempt me back even though they've now nicked the rights to show the last sport I still follow.

Get ready for the ad breaks which are guaranteed to happen while something exiting is happening on track.

I'm really gutted about this, the BBC has done one hell of a good job with F1 - the presenters, features, debates etc are great. All round excellent coverage.

I for one won't be paying for Sky Sports, both on cost/affordability grounds and principal.

At least sky has said it won't be showing ads during the races. Though that still won't tempt me to sub to sky again.

Ah that's not so bad then for those who have Sky. It won't tempt me back either. I'll just find a stream somewhere.

the comments made by the BBC imply they will still be showing all races on their website so hopefully as long as Karoo don't throttle it too much we should still be able to watch it from the BBC.
I have streamed a couple of the races a month or two ago without any problem but with an increase of people watching online next year there may be trouble ahead.
