I have been contacted today from my business LCR provider stating that they can now offer KC lines and rentals, as they can buy them wholesale.  Is this the start?

It sounds good, but i'm not sure if its because KC is now publishing their wholesale rates, or if its because this ISP is interested in a city with less than 200.000 people? or both

Hull businesses have been able to go to an alternative provider for many years.

I was responsible for the capability for other providers to be able to re-sell KC's lines and calls services at the "wholesale level" in the Hull area.

KC were forced to offer this to Nexus as Nexus formally complained to Ofcom about the illegal tying of KC's local phone calls with line rental services that was introduced by KC in July 2008 forcing Hull businesses to pay for inclusive local calls from KC whereby Hull businesses were forced to cancel their Nexus contracts for calls services where Nexus offered pay as you go local calls.

This agreement with KC was primarily brokered for Nexus Telecommunications who like all other providers could only previously provide Indirect Calls services in Hull over KC lines using the Cable and Wireless PIN code of 132 which is the only IDA code useable in the Hull area for other providers seeking to offer calls services.

This is a deal with KC where the communications provider (reseller) owns the retail relationship with the customer and not KC for fixed telephony Business service lines such as single PSTN, PSTN multiline, ISDN2 and ISDN30 lines.

Kingston "Local" from KC for businesses is illegal tariffing. As is every domestic phone line in Hull.

This statement may be libelous....hopefully you have no links to a competitor and this is not seen as a deliberatly malicious falsehood.
