Firefox for although alot of programs seem to want you to install chrome at the same time for some reason. Is it better than firefox?

I did a long test a while back when I decided to ditch IE. Once I'd narrowed it down to just a couple (mainly based on ease of use and the look) I settled on just two for a full test. Google Chrome and Firefox were the two I decided to test for a full week each.

I found very little between them but opted to go with Firefox because I found it just that bit faster.

I think Google has some kind of deal going with third parties to bundle their browser with programs so maybe that's why we see it offered more.

I use Firefox mainly but it tends to struggle with memory/memory leak issues regularly. If I'm doing anything that is going to require many windows open/closed/switching a lot then I use Chrome and it seems to take what ever I throw at it without moaning or locking up the system!

I have had many problems with Google chrome cough..cough Safari in the past and because of that I don’t particularly use it any-more. As el-ahrairah has previously stated I think this has something to do with the cache system and how it works but besides this one major fault I see nothing wrong with it been a viable option for you. FireFox on the other hand is pretty much dead to me now given that is uses more of my systems resources than IE9. Fun fact here only 1/5 of the development team still work on Firefox which may explain a few things.

Oh and by the way don’t expect to run any HTML 5 services on Chrome as they have pulled support for it. I guess Google seem to have a dislike for services that actually deliver on promises and work, for instance on You-tube flash uses 90MB of ram whilst HTML 5 uses 30MB Smiley. (Flash is so awesome and streamlined) Cheesy

I use Opera BTW
