Aye my uncle is on the video on the main page, The install is going well so far but only because the location is ideally suited. It will be a while before fibre reaches the inner city.

What are the upload rates like? I'm a bit of a sceptic since its KC that are doing this.. they bound to artificially limit this somehow, from previous experience.

As I said originally, it'll be fun to see how they do this in Hull rather than the outskirts.

Reading that it appears that karoo are admitting among things ,the buffering ,lack of bandwidth to go round(fighting for it they say).
will this super fast service from them be just as poor ?

It's badly written...buffering/lack of bandwidth relates to slower DSL lines. Like the technique though.... promoting a new product by slagging of your old ones...

TBH it would be fun to see how they would even do it in a place like Brough or Hedon, how many lines do they have in Woodmansey? Although fair play to them to be the lucky lucky peeps..

Ah it seems that KC will be rolling out fiber sooner than expected then, I am glad to see that my waiting will reward itself and I certainly hope that the transition will go smoothly both for KC and especially the customers who obtain it first hand. Although I suspect the people of Hull will not see this fiber optic roll-out until late next year due to KC themselves admitting they want to cover the worst areas of their network first. Regardless of this however its certainly a good day to be a KC customer thats for sure. Edit: Has anyone actually attempted to contacted KC yet to undercover more information regarding this transition, we need expected dates for certain areas est.

Makes sense to start with the worst areas first though, as they will have been getting the worst broadband for the longest amount of time. Some of the slow spots around Hull are starting to be filled in using FTTC and that coverage will increase over the coming year. More of a problem in busy areas due to traffic, overcrowded ducts - so more digging, distuption, and expense

I have contacted the liars at Krapoo as I could not understand the reason for bypassing where I live in Woodmansey when it is on the route from Beverley. I was told that it is only a few streets that are being trialed for the next 6 months, I pointed out to them that yet again they were misleading customers on their website by stating that you had to be a customer living in Woodmansey and on 1 of their new packages, also that nowhere does it state that it is only a few streets that are eligible. I signed up to one of their new packages as I was out of contract with them because 1 of their CS's told me about the new speed coming soon, otherwise I was going to quit Krapoo and go with 1 of the wireless providers. Krapoo said they had listened to the conversation I had with CS and that not 1 of them had mentioned fiber, how do they know which conversation and when as I did not mention it or give out any names or timings.
Oh well I will spend the rest of the evening finding out the cheapest package I can go on as I doubt they will let me cancel the contract even though they lied to me as usual..
Wish I could find that email from 1 of the wireless providers saying they were now providing in my area.
