you should be getting bonus payments for this exceptional service ,

Don't tell me, tell my boss  Grin

must be the contention on the feed to our street the one to HT's must be ok ,

Contention doesn't affect single streets, might be interesting for forum members if I explain why.

Every customer has a dedicated phone line to the exchange (I know this is controversial but its the way DSL works).
Bandwidth is not shared on this line with any other customer (unless you have unsecured wi-fi !).
In the exchange each line is connected to a DSL Access Multiplexor (DSLAM).
Most exchanges have multiple DSLAMs, the 20 broadband customers in your postcode are shared failry equally across 4 DSLAMs.
All the customers on a DSLAM share bandwidth on the link from the DSLAM into our core network.
We monitor bandwidth on these links and there is no contention on any of these across our network
There is no contention in our core network.
The connections from our core network to the Internet are where congestion is likely to happen in peak times, so this is where we apply traffic management to try and ensure that customers get a fair share of the bandwidth available.
Because we manage bandwidth centrally in this way, there should not be any particular postcodes which get slowed down more than others in peak time.

Which is why I am concerned that your postcode appears to be having speed problems in peak time, this simply should not happen.
I have checked our fault records and we don't seem to have had any reports of slow peak time speeds in the last couple of years for the 20 customers in your postcode.

Cheers
