Does anyone know if it is possible to cancle a mobile phone contract without having to pay the remaining months?

Like on broadband someone said an Ofcom ruling enables a user to quit their broadband contract within the first 3 months without penalty. Is anything like this true for mobile contracts?

Don't think so, unless they change the contract terms and you are adversely affected.

I think he can in a within a certain timeframe. There is a cooling off period under English law when people sign contracts but I forget how long it is.
