Extra long? only seen them at D&G owned stores like currys. only issue with that is you will be paying way to much for one.

How long? Maplin might sell them; http://www.maplin.co.uk/search?criteria=HDMI It is possible that, as CommanderGC says, you will end up paying a lot more than you really should.

Also, you changed your avatar.... Damn, I just have to mess about with that one.

I know for certain Game and Gamestation do although they might be more expensive than you would normally pay. Also I think they're only 3m long ones. Btw you know the signal degrades with the longer cable?

Maplin will also sell them at various sizes/quality but not sure on price. Some stuff they're expensive and others cheaper.

There is also Currys and Jacobs in Prospect Centre.

Tesco and Argos in St Stephens.

Probably more places but thats what I can think of.

I'm looking for a cable length of around 10m to 15m so it will reach the big telly for those special occasions, I really don't fancy moving the consoles about just for a few hours if you know what i mean.

Most shops only sell 5m (max) cables afaik.

I would have thought that there are adapters for connecting shorter cables i.e. female to female connections. Whatever route you take i think that more than 3m is going to be stupidly expensive.

Just from personal experience I bought a cheap 3m HDMI cable for my xbox360/ps3 in the past and also bought a more expensive one (Category 2 "High Speed", Gold plated etc) for the two consoles. I found the more expensive one to be far superior in image quality than the cheap one.

Just beware if your buying a cheaper (Standard 1) it may not work at the distance you are looking at, as they aren't tested at these distances.

Also this might be of use to you.

Best bet is an HDMI extender over cat5/6 cables.

Try http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290535642786 for an example.
