I assume the other 1000 odd towns in the UK are happy with these 6 towns getting FTTH from BT.

300Mbps me arse, BT can't even get upto 10 even on a good day, Let's see the evidence...

Lets not forget that in the same news report it was also mentioned that the average broadband spped in the UK is 6mbps.
