Any one got a list of all the exchanges in Hull ?

I have a lot of customers, some complain about slow speeds etc etc, I just want a lis of the exchanges to add to my diagnostics of they are miles away it will explain why they have slow speeds its one thing I can rule out for them

Cheers

This old thread may interest you; http://karooforums.net/index.php/topic,1799.0.html

But I do believe that it was found to be inaccurate.

Looking at the previous posts it is inaccurate - it doesn't show the exchange next to me either.

I am sure with the pooled knowledge on this site we could get a list together of all the exchanges in Hull?

Using the map from thinkbroadband I thought I would look at the east hull exchange nearest me, now I thought that I was much nearer to the exchange than this. I have put a couple of nearby postcodes either side to the exchange and the speeds are much much lower. Does anyone know where this exchange actually is?

This got me thinking, IF connection speed is directly related to distance from the exchange can we not establish a google map and enter postcodes into the Karoo speedchecker to extract enough data from it to establish with some accuracy where the exchanges are?

I think someone put the exchange locations on here before but it was removed.

Encourages too many Pikeys, Vandals etc.

We did publish a list a few years ago but KC asked us to remove it for security reasons. I think they tend to publish approximate locations to orgs like samknows.

Well I have started trying to find my exchange out of curiosity. I will not post exactly where it is (when I do pinpoint it) but so far I believe its north of Holderness Road and south and west of Bellfield Ave.

I do not actually believe the speed checker is that accurate, or if it is then its not possible to get above 16.5mbps in east hull!

Well there is a cluster of 16.5 mbps with nothing higher than that anywhere in east hull, must be somewhere in that.  Wink As I say though this depends IF the speedchecker is accurate.
