Why has DarkJester's thread on why he left NGU been removed?

It hasn't been removed, it's been closed. Feel free to open a new thread to continue discussion, DarkJester's point had been made and the continued derailment by those who wish to stir the pot, despite my warning, resulted in closure. I didn't feel the need to post saying why it was closed, though I see now I should have done.

As I have said to DarkJester in a PM I have no problem with people who have been burned or had a negative experience with NGU posting their experiences here or anywhere else, you've got to take the good with the bad in business and let people have their say.

As I have also said to DarkJester in my PM to him, if he or anyone else feels my decision is wrong please feel free to take this up with dylan or any of the admins on the forum.

Shame you don't offer the closer of threads for other companies that are criticised by non customers. Never seen a  thread closed for Kc due to this before... but your not a mod  for Kc are you?

I think you'll find many Airnet threads and NGU threads in the past have been closed due to getting out of hand.

I would add the difference with KC is that most people here either have KC or have had KC for a number of years, and so are in a position to comment. Granted times change and the service improves over time and thus some views can be disregarded, I know from my Max package to my current Mid 2 package the difference is astounding.

So, just to be clear: you are representing NGU in the Facebook forums, you have a business relationship with them in that you did their web site, and you are now moderating their forum on here? You don't see that there might be just the teensiest conflict of interest?

I have been a moderator here for almost a year, I can close any thread in any area as a moderator. This is nothing new. My company offered NGU a website which we did, Darren Weavers now administers the website - not me. I have just be asked a day or two back to help moderate the open group on Facebook following the recent spam and I agreed to do so.

To be clear once again, for those who have missed it I have NOT deleted any threads or posts.

@richardmyers

If there is one thing I really dislike its people in your kind of situation saying that there is no conflict of interest.  As far as I am concerned there is - you represent NGU and you are censoring views on a site that has nothing to do with them.

Tell you what - you dont have to be a customer of NGU to make a complaint about them to the Regulator of Community Interest Companies.  I am going to gather so much shit on them and put it together and send it off to the Regulator cos something here stinks.  I would also ask everyone else who is disatisfied with NGU to also complain to the Regulator.

I also think that these forums are gonna lose a lot of good contributors.

Shame on you

Not everyone is in someone else' pocket. I'm sorry that you feel this way about the way I moderate and you are quite welcome to take it up with the admins of the forum.

Regarding reporting NGU etc thanks for bringing this information to the public eye, anyone genuinely concerned with the way NGU run their business and anyone who has had a negative experience will now know where to go.

As for losing contributors, if it really gets up your nose so much that I'm a moderator here then I'll gladly step down.

No. I've not actually removed anyone or any posts on the facebook page yet as I've not seen any spam posts.
