What's the point, if Richard Myers is just going to delete stuff that he doesn't like? I haven't deleted any posts, threads etc. I closed a thread which was getting out of hand, the thread is still visible for all to see and I have invited a new thread be opened to continue discussion. When things got out of hand in Airnet threads previously they got closed, when things have got out of hand in NGU threads they've been closed previously. |

As much as I disagree with how threads are closed sometimes, I have to be on the side of Rich here. He's been pretty consistent at closing threads across all services  |

Well, I'm on my own side, nobody elses. You're right, he has been consistent with closing threads, in fact, closing a thread was the first thing he did as a moderator... Why? Because I didn't agree with him on getting the post. We should add a rule to the forum, always agree with RichardMyres or your thread will be closed. |

What? Because my opinion didn't coincide with yours? I thought this forum was a democracy? I thought opinions were supposed to be welcome?
People tell the moderator at Duke4.net they don't agree with him all the time, he's never closed a thread yet, he just calls them an a-hole and moves on.

I'm not the moderator at the forum you mentioned, I do things differently. I'm sorry if you do not agree with this, if you have any issues please take it up with the admins. The reason stated for closing the thread was "Ok folks a big thaks to Ace247 for organising this, and thanks to all members who voted but this thread has now served its purpose. Closed." I am sorry it offended you on such a level that you feel the need to bring it up over a year later. |
