Luke Hamblin

Sorry awaiting verification from Head Office with regards to the broadband after the comment made. There are ways around KC for the home phone but want to verify the broadband in the Hull area before I verify any details.

Probably another quickline reseller if anything.

To me it sounds like a company who THINKS they can use KC lines for broadband, but like most ISP call centre staff, they will be sadly mistaken to find out there's a little thing called a monopoly going on in Hull which prevents it, lol.

er KC do NOT stop competition as that would be illegal. KC do offer the ablility to resell their phone and broadband services and they also will allow LLU. trouble is Hull is such a small market no one wants in bad enough to setup deals with KC!

Yeah it's a shame, KC must have quite high rental prices which stop people coming in, it would be interesting if those ever got disclosed.
Let's face it, if the rental prices were low enough, even though Hull is just one city, an ISP would make a substantial amount of profit.

Specifically one like Sky, where they could do bundles and promotions with the TV packages, it would suck MANY MANY people in, without giving it a second though.

Trouble for Sky is Sky operates their own network.

I have friends who run ISPs, and Hull is a very small market. The takeup of broadband here is under the national average too.

They also resell lines in BT non LLU areas and could easily do so in Hull with KC lines.
It just they don't want to at the moment.....not enough profit in it for them.
