Has anyone been on this drug before? Just wondering what your experience with it was and how many did you have to take per day, including the dosage amount.

Some of the side effects look rather scary!

You didn't make that sound very good! Shocked

Anyway, if you're unsure about drugs you should always ask a Doctor, Pharmacist or Nurse. Not random people from the Interwebz!

Naproxen is a NSAID (just like Ibuprofen or Aspirin). All NSAIDs can have side effects to varying degrees (even those you buy over the counter) and Naproxen will be prescribed to a patient instead of Ibuprofen for various reasons (medical history, symptoms etc). Seriously, ask the person who prescribed them to you if you're worried mate!

I have been taking Naproxen for about 20 years.

I have Ankylosing Spondylitis and 500mg twice a day was prescribed.

http://www.drugs.com/sfx/naproxen-side-effects.html

Not too much side effect problems or worries at all until earlier this year when things started to go wrong. ( really bad palpitations and a worrying ECG)

I dont want to put you off but be aware of side effect symptoms and see if there are drug free ways of relieving whatever you have wrong for as long as possible.

Looks like I have a problem that may or may not be linked to long term Naproxen use.  Sad

Well for me it's just for the anti-inflamation effect of the drug and its only a 3 week 750mg/day thing so I shouldn't have any problems with that. I have read the side effects and im convinced some of them they put in there are 'just in case' to cover their asses.

Hope your problems get sorted though, alot could be cause by anxiety or something simple such as stress. I know a couple of guys at my previous work had to go on sick because of stress, more potent than you think!

I've suffered with anxiety for years now, I've always been very reluctant to go on any medication for it due to the one time I did I ended up with side effects that left me looking and feeling like I'd had a stroke. Very scary stuff.
