Mmmmm - ok but that would still raise a major concern for me as a business user and that is my connection is now provided by at least 2 suppliers.  Anyone who has had a non-KC product using KC wires, for example, a business telephone system, and had a problem, can be in a situation where you can be fobbed off.  KC would say its not our system therefore get in touch with the company, and the company says, there's nothing wrong with our system get in touch with KC cos its a fault on their lines.

I can see a similar problem with MS3 and "another" provider supplying your service - trying to pinpoint what is wrong and who is responsible.  Whereas if the same company provided the fiber and the service that makes everything a lot more straight forward and easier.

Of course businesses in Hull cannot get KC fiber yet (as far as I know?) and therefore, initially, if a business wants fiber in Hull then their only short term choice may be with MS3. But given the choice between KC's own fiber cable and their service and MS3 cable and another service provider I would actually feel more comfortable with KC - as a business.

We see a similar situation where certain wi-fi providers are dependent upon other providers infrastructure and if anything goes wrong it can be put down to a fault on the infrastructure and therefore not the wireless providers fault - but who knows?

All I do know is that if you are running a business you want a reliable and stable connection and if there is ever a problem you want it sorted ASAP - to me KC will remain the best option for businesses as the infrastructure and service is provided by the same company.

Many companies file late accounts so I wouldn't be overly concerned, its very easy to get bogged down with actually running a business and trying to make money. However, lets hope its not indicative of the way the company is going to be run - getting your accounts in accurately and on time is a reflection of a very smooth, professional outfit and sends out a positive statement - but not the end of the world if you don't!

That's not the company number from their website.

That will be because its "mediasat3 ltd" as opposed to  "ms3 communications ltd"

If you want more info. on these companies check link below.

Just to set the record straight (because as we've learnt from past experiences, we can get in trouble by assuming things) here is the factual evidence (i.e. that which won't get us sued!)

There is a company called MediaSat 3 Ltd. Companies House have petitioned to strike MediaSat3 Ltd from the register of companies. Somebody petitioned to stop this happening. We don't know why, but often this happens if a creditor asks Companies House not to strike the company off until they've have chance to sort things out. I'll reiterate though, we don't know why and if you wanted to find out exactly what had happened you'd have to contact companies house, or order the DISS16(SOAS) document from them. I'm not getting into that, but there are free sites that you can use to get basic company information and accounts (links below).

There is also a company called MediaSat Communications Ltd

Here is MediaSat3 Ltd http://wck2.companieshouse.gov.uk/a354b0e1e897a9087265abafbaa1fc3e/compdetails
Here is MediaSat3 Ltd's last filed accounts. The most recent accounts are missing. http://www.levelbusiness.com/doc/company/uk/05847562

Here is MS3 Communications Ltd - They're too young to have returned accounts yet but you can see the company officers at this link.
http://www.levelbusiness.com/doc/company/uk/07519808

Along with MS3 Communications Ltd there is MS3 Teledata Services Ltd (same company officers) and MS3 Security Ltd (too young to know who the Directors are).

The same people are involved in both MS3 Communications , MS3 Teledata Services & MediaSat3.

That's all we know, and everything else is conjecture unless we have evidence to prove it.... Please remove any conjecture or guesswork from the thread.

Ah. That explains it. Still don't know why there is all the conjecture about them. If anyone would care to fill me in on the juicy details, feel free to PM me Smiley

the most postive thing mediasat3 (or whatever) will achieve is provoking kc to invest in adding fibre to their own network
