Hey all, spoke to KC today about moving on the the home extra bundle from the home bundle. The pleasant women said "yes of course but would mean entering another 18mth contract"
I said I don't want to re-enter into another 18mth contract, was asked why, answer was Bt are rolling out FTTC by end of May 2012. So I could be off to Bt and wouldn't want a large exit fee, "hold the line sir." Waited for a few mins yes can move bundles without moving into a new contract for you sir.

She also said you are awear of the fibre roll out plans, "yes i said" She said don't jump ship just yet.

So would you take that as a pretty big hint that Kc have pushed their fibre roll out plans to Driffield quicker than they would to like to compete with Bt in race for fibre providers?.

They might be going head to head Smiley you might be lucky enough to get FTTH instead of FTTC. However both are pretty great Smiley

From what I've heard, they are going to be pushing fiber out very quickly.

I personally think that Hull is in store for some high quality broadband in the future.

FTTC would suck if the latency/interleaving hasn't been sorted out i.e being able to disable it!

Does that mean FTTH users don't have to worry about interleaving?  or should we request to have it turned off if possible? lower pings always better for me as a gamer.

Interleaving shouldn't be an issue for FTTH just FTTC.
