Hi All... Has anyone got any confirmation from an official source about Entanet?

I sent an email to Entanet asking what their plans were, and whether I could be put on a list of interested parties... All I got back was this standard reply.

Hi all,

Thx to Alan for pointing me in this direction.

I am about to revisit the case for taking wholesale from KC (making it 4 times) and I need to get an idea for the potential numbers AND what sort of price you'd be willing to pay for the service.

Please let me know (through whatever medium you want) your opinions

Thx

J
COO Entanet International

They seem to have updated the wholesale pricing page:

I'm another one on the old 3mbps £40 a month service. So obviously I'm willing to pay up to £40 a month for a decent service. I'd prefer an unlimited service, but would go for a service with around 100gb usage limit.

Hi All... Has anyone got any confirmation from an official source about Entanet?

I got the original email with Boggits contact details, and his email address looked valid. I'm sure they are still in the planning stages.

For me I'm looking for competitive pricing as in BT Land. form cheap as chips service for those who need occasional "fast" Internet and email at around £6.50 a month up to unlimited service with fair bandwidth shaping for £25

But what I really want is for someone to offer a multi package "Broadband, Phone and TV" that's where the money is to be made and the clincher for people change would be. Or even better "Broadband, Phone, Mobile Phone and TV" or am I dreaming?

Yes i've just read the costs in the Kcom Exchanges post, if £108 per connection is accurate, aint there still a profit to be made?

That’s just the connections then you have support staff, billing services, marketing, building costs, heating ect, then you have to keep the customer!!!

The margin get so low it would be better selling hull daily mail from a cart in the street!!!!

But wont most firms already have all that in BT land? cant they just run it from remote operations?

Very true but look at it from a providers point of view

Sell in BT land (easy, fast, cost efficient, good return)
Sell in KCom (agreements are hard, slow, expensive, low return)

Where would you concentrate on selling if it was your money???

Its allways going to be down to
