Parents moving and need to get rid of their stuff, such as tables and chairs, garden furniture, tools, cooking utensils, ornaments, old albums, singles, 78s, CDs, DVDs, hi-fi, old computer monitor, old toys, board games, toy soldiers, old pre-war books, etc! Do you know anywhere that would buy any of this stuff, preferably as a job lot but anything would do. Cheers.

i'd try listing it on ebay, i bet more people will view it than in a shop or listed in the paper.

Also Gumtree is a free way to advertise your stuff, I've used it before to buy and sell, its really good.

+1 for Gumtree, we've bought and sold all sorts on there. Much less complicated than eBay, and no fees involved.

If you're feeling particularly philanthropic and/or you can't shift it on Gumtree, you might also consider offering it for free on Freecycle.

Cheers all. Loads gone to charity shops already, amazing how much stuff accumulates over the years.
