Saw it on Facebook that they were doing Grovehill first so rang up and got it ordered. Appointment originally scheduled for today, but they brought it forward to last Wednesday as a test to see if everything worked before they did everyones. They did post a flyer through the letterbox a few days later too.

No mention of my area either, and I'm getting 2-3Mb. We've just got to play the waiting game and fingers crossed they get to us in 2013.

Has anyone else who registered their interest received an email link to a survey asking for more info about how they'd plan on using Lightstream if it came to their area? I'm wondering if they're just sending them out to everyone, or targeting people in areas that they're considering rolling it out to (I'm in Brough, HU15).

Registered a while back - No survey sent, so it does seem targeted.

No. I've registered two or three times and never had any response.

Hi guys, i rang the lightstream team up last night to find out when my street will be getting done. The lady i was chatting to said she has no idea what order they are planning on doing areas in, but she did say that karoo aim to change there entire area over to fibre by 2015. And also its apparently 100 meg not upto if you get ftth.

Edit:the router is supposed to be a high end netgear model 3500 i think. i looked it up on amazon and it goes for Ł100 and supports wireless n. Roll on fibre laying!

Properties in the Grovehill area of Beverley will be the first to receive KC’s lightning fast broadband service this year, with customer installations starting in two weeks’ time on Monday 6thFebruary. Other installations in Beverley will include the Grange Way, Lockwood Road, Butt Lane, Old Manor Lawns, Lincoln Way, Poplars Way and Norwood areas.

Bloody typical as I am stuck between them and Woodmansey, rang Krapoo today and they haven't a clue what or where they are doing as usual, roll on some sort of oposition for them in this area so I can get a decent provider.

its worth it if you dont have a mobile but if you have a mobile on top of that when ya dont use landline its alot of money i have unlimited landlines and 900 mins with 3000 txts in my monthly sim so if your paying that aswell as on top of 48 quid its alot of money this is what i mean there trying to get people to use the phonelines again cause for that price you would want to but if you want good internet and good usage then the only way is to have the top bundle
