It seems after a post on facebook that Simon Davison is not involved with Nextgenus anymore, some customers are privy to this information and some aren't. I noticed that his name has been removed from the about us page on the website as well. I have an issue with this as the person who is now supposedly in charge (but we haven't been informed) is the person who I always thought was a volunteer marketing manager  Huh? It would be interesting to know if there is actually anyone working at NGU now who is qualified in networking at all ?
Any mention of this matter on facebook is quickly deleted by someone, yet a few posts still remain, most the ones being removed are requests for his return, the whole situation is very worrying and no one is coming forward with any information. As a big supporter of NGU and a customer for nearly a year. I also feed others, I now have to reassess my situation, I jumped on board because I trusted Simon and always have and now I am in the dark and karoo is beckoning me...
Any other thoughts on here from Nextgenus customers please, or does someone actually know the truth ? I am struggling to find it

i always thought simon owned some part of the bussiness i did see richard myers say something about this week or so ago so im guessing that this is true its a shame if he has gone cause he did to seem to know more then the majority of nextgenus staff maybe thats why the usage checker and the new profiles have'nt come into effect

Simon is indeed no longer a part of NGU Hull, I heard this completely by accident as it was thrown into conversation as though nothing had happened and it didn't matter... I would say without Simon there isn't a NextGenUs IMO - This could well be the final nail in the coffin for NGU as we know it.

I assume you refer to me throwing it out during our conversation? Simon is doing projects elsewhere now and as a result Darren Weavers is now tasked with running the Hull NGU network.

Boggle. What qualifications does he have to do this?

No, he's not actually involved in NextGenUs at all.

Darren and Guy are now running Hull.

I've heard he has been forced out, there are many rumours flying around though so it's to be taken with a pinch of salt.

I could see this coming a while ago actually. I think he had problems in his private life which were spilling over into work time. The big problem with Simon was getting things done or getting answers for people. Even the staff on the phone couldn't get hold of him.

Its a shame really because if things had of been thought about and planned properly they wouldn't be in this position now. They got to big to fast and even when they realised this didn't do much to rectify it.

I find this revelation interesting as Simon has put allot of effort in building-up NextGenUs since it's launch as a business and to hear him leave seems somewhat strange in my opinion. Regardless I sincerely hope Simon or NextGenUs is well aware of the repercussions that leaving will cause as competition at this time from-the-likes of KC and SureBroadband will put the company under considerable pressure. To disregard this fact would be ludicrous as this will cause a massive gap in management within the company, but given the benefit-of-the-doubt measures may have already been put into place on behalf on NextGenUs to deal with this matter. I shall keep an eye on this space to see how events unfold. Wink
