Calling all stakeholders in the KCom Area

Welcome to the stakeholder forum. This is an invite for you to get involved!

To enable change within Hull and area a group of stakeholders need to come together under one banner.

Stakeholders will include all major businesses, local network operators and network service providers.

Please contact Hobbisbang via IM as he wishes to discuss aligning of efforts in the provision of services to Hull and the surrounding area.

Current concept

No individual provider wishes to enter the market here.

If we all group together with the aid of KCom we could setup a secondary provider in the area with stakeholder partnership sharing the risk and revenues.

If the model proves successful then it can be replicated by other interested communications providers this will make a reduced revenue in comparison to total ownership but would allow competition and revenues to be made.

This has been an option for ourselves and other providers in the area for a long time, Do you have any idea of how many are interested so far?

All i can say on this subject is, if your a potential stakeholder, someone who is looking to provide services to customers in the Hull and surrounding district, then come on in - the waters lovely..

I think what we have here is a prime example of grass roots insurgency, we have been treated as stupid cattle by KCom for too long, did they really think we would sit here and take it?

Dear forum user

Unbeknown to many of you there are a number of local people and organisations (local and nationally) working on helping Hull residents and businesses benefit from a competitive telecommunications infrastructure.

If you want an alternative provider of Broadband and telecommunications services in the City then I URGE you to ask as many interested parties (Business or Residential) as possible to detail information in this format:

Q: What type of service/s do you require (ADSL Internet , SDSL Internet, Voice services)?:

Q: Is this for Business or Residential use?:

Q: If voice services for business are required is this for ISDN2 or ISDN30?:

Q: Please detail your postcode?:

This information will be collated and passed to the people and organisations concerned.

Project Novo
