Am using a safecom swart2-54125 that I found at the moment.

I think it was one supplied with karoo, as it has a KC profile by default?

It's the best router i've ever used! wireless on it is awful mind; no wpa2 support.

I'm using IPCop firewall.
Specs:
CPU: AthlonXP 2200
RAM: single 128MB 266 DDR
HD: 10GB for update/web proxy cache, 1GB USB stick for the OS
LAN: 100Mb
WAN/Modem: Connexant AccessRunner PCI ADSL

I am thinking of going down the same route, so I can use DansGuardian for filtering..   (12 year old daughter!)

Nice one, did you find that the ADSL modem was supported out of the box in ipcop or did you have to load extra kernel drivers?

Ooops never mind - checked the ipcop.org wiki - see it does supports the accessrunner USB modem. I've got one of them knocking about somewhere. Cool - I feel a project coming along lol.
