no probs - ref stats page, I am working on it at the moment..

Right - I have looked through the figures and noticed that I have only given the Postcode field to admin only...  Can everyone please go and add the first part of the postcode into their profile (e.g. HU2) 

That way we can map problems etc against exchanges.




I am looking at a way of getting download speeds (over time) into the database.

and then plotting them onto a google maps mashup, with an overlay of the exchange areas.

We talked about doing it before but now seems a good time

Cheers for that, I think you should plot a problem with the Beverley exchange, Iv had constand problems with my broadband, Also my SNR is 16db @ 6312kbps but drops to 8db at about 9PM , Is this normal ?

Yeah a drop is snr is normal in the evening.
What router do you use? My netgear one i set it to target 50% SNR (so instead of 15 it aims for 8-10) resulting in higher sync.

My router aims for 6db but krapoos service wont stabilize on any profile  I use a belkin f5d9630 G+ MIMO router.

Added by stats, went to my mates yesterday, jealous of his line 16 Attenuation 25 SNR on the 3mbps package (his dads conscious about changing as its used for business vpn aswell)

Hi there,
after enjoying the Tigers winning I have added a few more stats to the page..

Now there is avg for all, Highest and lowest for all, and MODE for all..
Mode is the most often seen number in a sequence, for example at the moment the MODE for sync speed (down) is 8128kbs which means the majority of people are getting this sync speed.  I think its a better way of showing the stats?

What we need now is a way to show figures over time - but that will come from the modems that have been distributed..

Also we need to get everyone to enter the stats to provide a more general view of Hull and district.
We can then start to pick off stats from exchanges.

Mode's OK, but we probably need a larger sample for it to mean anything I reckon.

Hi  - there are a few problems with the stats, i need to change a few of the DB queries to remove the crappy info (e.g. blanks and zeros etc..)
