Trials still staff only though? Wouldn't mind trying it, I don't download 24/7 just get what i need/want. They will probably still the same usage limits as the new packages on.

I believe that some KC staff have been trialling ADSL2 for quite some time now. Still no sign of it surfacing for joe public though unfortunately.

But if they made it public the network would collapse!

KC are considering allowing members of the public to test ADSL2 to gather more stats.... Email help@kcom.com with your interest, Dont think it will improve my speed any more.

If KC had any common sense, they'd join the forums and make a post asking for testers! They'd be hard pushed to find an easier way of reaching a group of their customers who are actually bothered or knowledgeable about broadband service.

ADSL2+ technology limits the connection speed no the copper it runs through on shorter lines. 16-18 meg is the max you can expect even next to an exchange.

Thats BT, generally there are some people on BT who have terrible lines because they are so long. Whereas kcom have 14 exchanges in a relativly small space resulting in shorter lines for kingston customers, this could mean more percent of Karoo customers could connect faster than BT.
You can't really compare BT and Kcom network.

Dear all

There is no chance of getting ADSL2 in Hull from KCOM since it means that KCOM will have to offer bonded ADSL services to businesses which will conflict with there massively expensive leased line service revenues.
