Could you not all download between 12 and 8 when the usage is free, and then peak time can be used to download for stuff that you want/need there and then.

Just walked in from work to a letter from KC (Sorry if this has already been covered in the thread).

They are upgrading my connection to ADSL2+ Technology, free of charge.

It doesnt say when though, but theres 2 phases - 1 will be a 2-3 interruption, the 2nd will be a 45 minute interruption.

Huh? so thats how they are going to make us upgrade/downgrade from Max is it? By making ADSL2 only available to people who are on the new packages, those cheeky gits

lmfao. My advice would be to wait and see what the ADSL2 speeds are like before leaving Max ;-)

Well lets look at the bight side of this, once people are enticed over with the promise of an upto 16Mb connection that will in no doubt run no faster than around 2Mb for the first few months. Their maybe more bandwidth for us poor lonely Max users Wink

Iv made a complaint about the fact that only customers on the new products will be allowed to be put on ADSL2+ Profiles, The way Karoo treat us is becoming more & more of a joke.

Iv had to file yet ANOTHER complaint about my line as Karoo are refusing to do anything, 'Deadlock' with KC as a friend quoted. Pathetic.

15-07-2008 09:53:29 - Karoo network upgrade During the next two months we will be upgrading our broadband network to ADSL2+, the New Generation of Broadband services. This will mean faster, more stable broadband connections for our Karoo Lite, Mid and Pro customers.

We will be carrying out the work between midnight and 7am to reduce any inconvenience to customers. The work will be carried out in two phases, during the first, some customers may experience a short interruption of no more than 2-3 minutes to their broadband service. During the second phase, customers may experience an interruption of up to 45 minutes while the upgrade takes place."
