The Karoo Mid package has dropped to £12.99/month for the first 3 months, after which it reverts to £16.99. As a sub-10GB/month user I'm planning to change to it from Max 3 to save money. I originally enquired about this when the new packages were first announced but was advised not to as my previous usage was allegedly over Mid's limit. That was until I discovered that the Control Panel Usage stats are a joke!

It has actually been at that 12.99 intro rate since the service was introduced, they have just recently made it more known to the public via the Karoo site etc... It has always been on offer according to the price list.

I'd only ever seen the detailed pricelist which doesn't mention any of the offers. I'm kicking myself that I didn't spot the separate Internet Offers pricelist sooner!

Anyway, after a quick phone call I've now made what seemed to be a very simple switch to Mid with no mention of downgrade or regrade fees, and none of the "new customers only" stuff that I half expected on the introductory offer. The "switch" is due to happen on 7 July.

It's only Lite that is 18 months. And although the "welcome" letter mentions a downgrade fee of £30, they've taken £12.98 (not £12.99!) for this month's direct debit payment. There was no mention of fees when I requested the move from Max 3, so I assume it only applies if you change from Pro to Mid or Mid to Lite.
